Do you know my muffin man?

Okay, all I got were the crumbs on his face—the muffin seems to have disappeared.

Today while a wonderful friend took my boy to gymnastics (something about the -25 C temps with windwarnings in effect made her fear for our well being, perhaps?), me and my middle one made some muffins.

Okay, and cookies too (why stop baking when one kid is out and one kid is napping? Make cookies while the kitchen is quiet, says I)

After gymnastics we made Monster Mouths and sang some Monster songs:

After little-er boys were napping, Giant and I made (and labeled) maps to a dragon/bear cave:

(I tried hard to capture the most studious and serious look he had on his face as he gave a detailed account of every step on the map—he was very into it)

Then Giant found a rock.

Which needed painting.

So he painted it.

After Ettin woke up, Giant took him aside to teach him the important uses of elastic peg boards—a mainstay of every educational institution—such as making shapes:

and, more importantly…

shooting elastics.
