Gospel study focused on the story about monkeys.
Okay, the gospel part was about the love of money, but I told the boys about monkeys who let themselves be captured by people as they stick their hands through a tiny hole to get some nuts in a hollowed out trap, and then won’t let go even though their hands are now too big to be able to make it back through the hole. This is like us not being able to free ourselves from wants of our own, like money or toys
We tried this out ourselves with my handy dandy monkey trap:
Nope, they couldn’t get their cute paws out without letting go of the trains.
We also made a custard “resupe,” and Giant coloured in the correct amounts for each ingredient:
We had to make the custard, of course:
And finally, we worked on a message:
