Today is…Monday Mar 7 2011

We read the story of searching for a lost coin, and likened it to how important it is for us to to look for that which is lost.

Or, rather, I likened it to some lost chocolate. Since I didn’t think my boys would give a hoot if I told them I’d lost some money.

Chocolate, now that’s important:

After exercise, we counted beans. Ettin scooped and sorted:

I tried to do an exchange game with Giant, where he would count 10 black beans and trade me for 1 white bean. But I think it was a little too abstract, or too overwhelming with so many beans. In any case, they mostly just played with the beans for a while:

…and practiced sweeping up beans off the floor.

Many, many beans off the floor:

Math, Take 2, was translating a recipe. Giant coloured in shapes for the correlating amount of ingredients:

Then the boys helped me make muffins:

Sooo many helpers!

(We added some frozen garden strawberries to those muffins. AMAZING!!)
