Today is…Thursday Mar 10 2011
What didn’t we do today?!
We talked about what Temples are for, and why Jesus cast the money changers out!
(snack time seems to be a great time to have and hold the attention of my boys)
I told Giant to get ready for gymnastics, and he decided he needed to find out what the weather was like first:
Aww, just like his daddy. Can’t go outside to check, since the computer would be much more accurate.
While Giant was at gymnastics (his friend’s mommy picked him up), Ettin was adrift:
So I had him help me make some treats.
He obliged.
When Giant got home, he saw that we had been baking and wanted to do some baking too, of course!
So I told him the ingredients for Biscuits while I was cleaning in the kitchen.
He wrote them down with his brother:
Biscit /resupe/flar/shoogr/milc/slolt
[Biscuit recipe: flour sugar milk salt]
Okay, there are a few ingredients I left out. But I was so impressed that he’d written that much by himself that I let him off easy 😉
He and his brother mixed up the ingredients:
Galoot looked on as I fed him lunch:
The boys set aside some quiet time for themselves after lunch (I was keeping Ettin awake so he’d go to bed early), dragging blankets and pillows and books out of their bedroom to soak up some warm sun under the front window:
Then the afternoon was filled with mommy cleaning, and boys busying themselves with:
…taking the garbage out (Giant will do this any chance he gets. If something is in the garbage, then it is full and must be taken out.):
…and doing puzzles (Ettin’s favourite pastime):
We looked at our message:
(apparently it was Friday)
And finished with a book and some biscuits:
Phew.
