Today is…Wednesday Nov 24 2010

We prayed.

We looked at our Gospel Picture of Moroni. Giant was interested in the hole for the plates, and talked about Joseph Smith finding them.

Hm. We did do a Morning Message, but apparently I neglected to take pictures.

For your reference: Today is Wednesday.

I just knew you’d want to know.

We focused on the sense of touch today, so Giant wrote out the words hot and cold.

Then we bundled up and went to the Gym.

I LOVE Gym days. I get so much more accomplished, even at home. The boys fight less and I feel more able to handle things.

When we got home, the boys wanted to play in the snow.

In the front yard.

This was hard for me.

Even though I can see them the whole time they are outside playing.

And even though I know Giant would not hesitate to tackle Ettin should Ettin wander onto the road.

I still worry.

But they had fun:

And then they wanted to come in for hot chocolate:

I let them.

Ettin did not have a nap. But Galoot did.

For the afternoon, the boys busied themselves exchanging toys and games from downstairs,

colouring,

and being an “artist.”

Giant called this picture, “Zarahemla.”

No, I don’t know why.

But he did make up a catchy tune…”Oh, Zarahemla…”

Anyway.

Then, because I wanted to add some structure, I played a sense of touch game with the boys:

They were to try and count how many squares were on their Blok, without looking:

Ettin didn’t quite get it, but he was happy to be included:

Giant was actually pretty good at this game, and could even count the squares in the odd shaped Bloks.

Just before supper Grandma and Grandpa Bee came for a quick visit.

Grandpa read the boys stories…

…and my no-nap Ettin crashed hard:
