We love Grandpa!
I’m pretty sure Grandpa spent most of his time with a little boy on him or near him the whole time he was here.
Playing computer games:

Reading stories:

Fixin’ stuff:

Fixin’ more stuff:

And just playing with very delighted boys:

(I think Grandpa may have liked it too)
Grandpa, We Love You!!!!

We had Mr. Fixit stay with us for a wonderful week…
He leveled our computer desk:

…and our oven (guess what? When I cook things they. bake. evenly!!!! No thin burned side and overflowing raw side. Just nice even cooking!!!!!)…

….installed our stair rail…

…a dryer vent…

…a countertop (isn’t it pretty?!)

…a baby gate…

…with a latch!…

…outlet covers…

…bare wire covers…

…(with his helpers, of course)…

…set up our swing…

…shifted a bunch of heavy concrete and rocks…

…and moved a mountain:

(I took the picture too late—the dirt used to be higher than the window on the shed just behind it)
Grandpa, Mr. Fixit, You. Are. Amazing!!!

Saturday Morning Fun was….
DIRT!!!

Okay, imagine that pile about 3-4x’s bigger.
A whole truckload of dirt.

That’s A LOT of dirt!
Grandpa shoveled and hauled dirt all morning and into the afternoon. Grandpa is amazing!!!
Daddy Bear and I helped, but “help” is the key word.
My garden is now a truckload and a bit of dirt fuller, and hopefully with the rest of the dirt it will be more resistant to flooding!
We went out to Pizza’s and Cream to celebrate—they have the BEST pizza!!!
Thank you so much Grandpa!!!

After Daddy got home from work (early on Fridays 🙂 ) we left for the Galt museum.
Our visit started with awesomeness: Just as we got out of the car, a train went over the bridge that runs near the museum! We had to watch for a while:

Grandparents and Children in hand, we were admitted to the museum with the library “Galt Museum & Archives Family Admission Pass“:

Ettin met a Buffalo. He wasn’t too sure about it.

We learned about the irrigation system via a chartered flight:

Ettin wasn’t too sure:

We boomed on a large loud drum:

Ettin wasn’t too sure:

We hid in a replica of a dug out shelter:

Ettin loved the tightly enclosed space with rocks looming overhead. Go figure.

And we met a bear:

Ettin was suitably impressed:

Outside, the boys and Grandpa played while Daddy and Grandma lingered over the exhibits:

When asked what his favourite part of the museum visit was, Giant replied, “Walking with Grandpa on the paths.” :

Can’t you feel the bliss radiating from that boy?!
After our visit, we enjoyed a time-honoured tradition of KFC in the park. And as a bonus, we even saw some Dragon Boat competitors racing in Henderson Bay (maybe Grandpa will email me the pictures he took with his iphone?).
The boys crashed hard and slept well on the way home 🙂

Have I mentioned how awesome Grandma is?
She reads to boys…

And teaches them fun games! Bring on the craziness:
Crazy Eights 🙂

Everyone wants in on the fun!

Love ya Grandma!
