Zillions of Cookies

Best way to make a whole lot of cookies?

Do up several batches of dough (we made peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, and candy), roll ’em in saran wrap, and toss ’em in the fridge:

Pause.

Because surely by now you’ll have 2-3 little ones in need of your love and attention.

Go be a mommy.

Come back to cookies, cut each log into 4 doz. cookies. Squish or roll as needed.

These make little cookies:

Perfect for little hands:

(and mommies like them too 😉  )

Library Trip

What better homeschooling activity?

A trip to the library with a good friend!

And then home to cozy up on the couch for a good read.

Back in business!

As you may have noted, I have picture taking power!!!

Thanks to a wonderful friend who passed her old camera along to me, pictures of charming grandchildren will be returning to their regularly scheduled blog.

Building Garden Boxes

Our basement has been very busy lately.

Wood has trumped toys and books:

They boys have been helping me build my 112 2.5x5ft possibly-overly-ambitious garden boxes I’m trying to have ready for planting time (which may actually be in a couple of months, or never, if this weather holds up):

They make a valiant effort, then they will often go play with the other enticing materials in the basement.

Like sawdust!:

Yes, the house is covered in sawdust.

Today is…the last two weeks?

So, what have we been doing while my camera has been MIA?

Well, in a nutshell…

Lots of colouring:

Art projects with body parts:

Playing outside (in the mix of sun and snow that has teased us for the past two weeks):

We may have snuck in a gospel lesson, some play dates with friends, and an outside excursion here and there.

But mostly, I’ve been using the boys for cheap child labour.

I pay them candy…
