Snuggles in the morning
A snuggle with my snuggly boy for my morning scripture study.
Our day…
(cue the sad baby)
Sad baby was nursed (painfully) and swaddled:
Whilst boys were left to their own devices.
Giant helpfully got himself and Ettin paint and paper:
Then, as I was rocking a baby to sleep, daddy called in great excitement to tell me about some nifty robotics/lego/building supplies they were telling the teachers about at the schools. He was so enthused that he wanted to get me, and the boys, and show all of us the nifty stuff.
I needed a bit of enthusiasm myself, so off we went to crash the teacher’s P-day presentation and look at lego 😉 . And, in all honesty, it was pretty cool!
When we got home we took a look at a neat video about a deaf percussionist, and about how people really listen:
Wow. Our very own homeschooling assembly with a powerful presentation!
Chomper and I are having issues.
Painful issues.
Which meant mommy was not a happy mommy.
I needed some extra rest.
So, while Galoot went down for a nap in the morning, I took advantage of the effects movies have on my boys, and took a nap.
And got ready for some extra boys I’d be watching in the afternoon…
This entailed much running around…
…and bopping. And laughing. And screaming. And lots of fun!
Giant and I stole a quiet moment to draw a cool story from a really neat draw-a-story book:
Then the grandma of the little boys we were playing with came by to pick them up.
When she asked, “Are you boys ready to come to Grandma’s house?” Giant responded with an enthusiastic “Yes!”
So she took all three bigger boys to play at her house 🙂
Which meant that Ettin and I spent some time painting:
And decorating our tree!
On windy nights, the monsters are rampant.
(in a whispery, wavering voice) “Mommy, I’m ‘cared of da mon’ters.”
Oh, my poor heart.
Fears abate…
When tucked in with a brother.
A beautiful moment of sunshine.
Little boys who need to get out of the house.
And snow melting from the sidewalks.
It can only mean one thing…Speedbiker season!
I’m hunting for speed bikers…
Nope. Too straight.
Ah-ha! Little footprints…
There they are!
Up…
Down…
All around…
And then home for a good sleep 😉
