Chomper

The reason for this poor boy’s discomfort?

(aside from his mother tugging on his lower lip)

Can you see them?

Two little chompers appeared this weekend after a week of sore and troublesome teething.

Two down!….so many more to go.

Thursday and Friday were busy play-date days.

But we did get in some piano lessons:

And shadow matching:

Then we left to play with cousins for the weekend!

Galoot and Brothers

Look, he’s people!

This post is brought to you by the colour…

We were playing with some nifty rock shaped crayons yesterday, which prompted an interesting conversation…

“Hey mom, look at this colour.”

“Oh, umhm.”

“Its yellow. Or its brown. Or its yellow brown.” Giant pauses while he searches for the best label. Then, his eyes lighting up as he hits upon the term he was searching for, “its POOP colour!”

“*snort* Yes, yes it is.”

We had a great time a gym today with LOTS of little friends to play with.

Then we enjoyed a leisurely walk home, making tracks in the snow with a slinky and toy truck.

While I made some muffins, the boys played WONDERFULLY with each other (it may have helped that I brought up some seldom played with baby toys):

We did a piano lesson session, which left the boys begging to colour the worksheets (seriously). Especially the “beat bugs.” I told Ettin he had to wait until after his nap—the poor little guy was heart broken, but nap he did.

Then, in honour of Groundhog Day, we made pop-up groundhogs in cups:

And I made a groundhog for our tree.

I even made a long shadow that stretched out to one side of him, but Giant said that the shadow was supposed to be behind him.

Fine with me:

Oh, and he also made the groundhog some food (it’s an orange apple):

And after Ettin woke up (and after he finished colouring his beat bug sheet), he coloured and cut out a friend for the groundhog:

Happy Groundhog Day. I sure hope his prediction is true!
