Baby Care

Two little daddies in training:

(I swear I don’t purposefully take pictures of the back of Ettin’s head, though that seems to be all I get…Must get a faster camera!)

Today is…Monday Jan 10 2011

I’m banishing winter at our house.

Too cold.

Too snowy.

I’m done.

This week: Dinosaurs!

Aside from the iceage stuff, the thought of dinosaurs seems to bring images of tropical forests, large GREEN leafy plants, and steamy warm mists.

Right now in the land of snow and ice that sounds great.

We started with talking about the Creation. I wanted discuss our beliefs before we delved into theory 😉

We read a cute story about dinosaurs:

And a scripture about how gaining knowledge is good. I know our world was created for us by a loving Heavenly Father, who wants us to gain as much knowledge in this life as we can. Thus, I have no troubles learning about and studying dinosaurs and bones and things of this earth. I have found that with many things, the more you study and learn, the stronger your testimony grows.

Galoot joined us after his afternoon nap.

So did Ettin.

With full arms we dauntlessly created a dino friendly tree (with a story break to cuddle a very sad Ettin and Galoot) by cutting out tissue paper leaves:

And adding them to our tree:

I can feel the heat wave now 😉

Merry Christmas…Our Morning in a Nutshell

I believe it was about 3:30pm when we finally prayed and looked at some pictures and stories about Christmas:

Then we played a game where we took turns drawing a picture or writing a word for each other:

Okay, seriously, this homeschooling thing is not working so great so close to the holidays. I think I’m going to focus on getting ready for Christmas and call that great.
