Today is…Wednesday Jan 19 2011
After gym we came back home for a snack of dinosaur toast:
Stop laughing.
That took me 4 tries.
And the boys loved it…which is the most important thing, right?
Well, we cleaned up and moved on to finding textures…
Textured Dinos!!!
We sampled the textures from the trampoline, the keyboard, different toys, and the knock-down on the wall,
Then we cut out our dinosaurs, put on some tape (which Ettin wanted to do himself, thank you very much),
and stuck them on our wall:
(Do you see the pattern?)
As a side note, my son had some interesting questions about the structure of the pterodactyl’s wings. Specifically the knobs (fingers?) on the tops.
What were they for?
Just part of the wings, I replied, unconcerned.
He further theorized that they were for feeding all the baby dinosaurs.
Okay, I replied.
Because they were like nursies, mom.
Hmm, I replied, becoming a little more concerned.
Not just because “nursies” is not the term we use in our home, but because a second glance at my dinosaur wall made me wonder if anyone else saw flying “nursies” scattered on it:
Just me?
We drew some dinosaurs (Ettin’s favourites are the “hammerheads”
Later in the day (okay, right before bed) we took some time for our piano program.
Giant even played a song (two fingers on the c# and d#), for which he was beamingly proud.
(and of course Ettin had to play too)
