Giant loves our morning lesson time:

Have you ever seen a boy more excited than this?!

We prayed.

We enthusiastically dived into our Gospel Picture:

And discussed the Temples of old and how blessed we are to have Temples in our day. Giant commented that there was another picture of the Temple with stores in it. It took me a moment, but I think he was referring to the picture of Jesus cleansing the temple in the New Testament.

Then on to our morning message:

Although its been nice to practice reading some easy words with him, I’ve missed having Giant practice his writing. So I think I’ll be encorporating that back into our messages.

I got to hold his toys while he worked:

Tah Dah!

Hmmm, yup. We really do need to keep up with his letter writing practice.

After nursing a Galoot, we enjoyed a lovely walk with friends down to Stay and Play (where Giant enjoyed doing puzzles and Ettin played with kids and toys), and then walked over to the Library. I am really going to miss this amazing weather we are having—sunny and warm in the middle of Fall, how weird!

The boys spent some time reading books after lunch:

Then Ettin and Galoot went down for naps, and I got busy with freezer meals again (Pizza this time!).

I feel like I’ve been a bit neglectful with Giant’s learning time, yet I know that having healthy meals ready to just throw on the stove and eat will help with having less stressful learning time in the future. So I persisted.

Giant helped cut ham. And ate everything he cut.

He also wanted to help roll the dough. But since he like to eat dough too, I encouraged him to play with some Play Doh instead (he is showing me his own little play doh pizzas going into the “oven” here):

And since he can’t be away from me for very long, I soon had company in the kitchen:

So although I felt slightly neglectful, and although I didn’t make turkey hands like I had planned, I think we did get in some good learning time and some good Mommy and Giant time.
