I felt so on the ball today!

We made it to the gym—only a few minutes late, and had a fun time playing with friends.

Then we came home to get ready for cousins!

Although they would have been very happy just playing with toys and each other,  I wanted to try and get some schooling in there.

Besides, I was prepared. I had traced out some pooh bear pics before the kids woke up this morning, so by golly we were doing the activity.

They chose their pooh bear (I’d simplified some clip art of pooh bear off the internet).

Then they poked holes around the lines to make a pooh bear lantern (really just an excuse to exercise some fine motor skills):

Wow. Peer pressure is pretty powerful!

I’m pretty sure Giant would have decided he was finished about half-way through, but he had cousins who were excited about the activity, so he persevered.

Ettin also wasn’t too sure what he’d gotten himself into, but he made a valiant effort to poke some holes into poor pooh bear:

We took them into my bedroom to look at the nifty effect:

(which isn’t quite so nifty with the flash on, admittedly)

Alright you cute little stinkers, hop out of my bed!

Lunch was teddy bear and egg toast:

With the teddies either delightedly munched first, or saved for the last:

Hmm. Only as I scan through the pictures of the day do I realize that I totally dropped the ball with the gospel lesson.

Yes, I just made the resolve to teach a gospel lesson each day yesterday.

Thank goodness its a new ball game tomorrow!
